The bedroom is chilly, so I attempt to go down to the basement and put more wood in the furnace. As I am about to open the door, I hear a shuffling and see a boy running to hide through the grate of the door.
Somehow I manage to wrestle the boy of around 10 years to the front room upstairs and hold him there while Todd is looking for the phone book to call the police department (I told him to call them instead of 911 since we were in no immediate danger). So he doesn't find it, and I now tell him to call 911.
While all of this is happening, the young boy that I have tackled to the ground, tells me there are two more boys in the basement. So after Todd finishes his call with 911, he goes down and gets them as well.
Once upstairs, we sit and wait for the cops to arrive...which they do along with the parents of the boys. No charges were pressed against the two that had continued to hide in the basement. As they are being taken out of the house, the boy that I had brought upstairs goes on to tell me he had come into my bedroom and watched me sleep before he went to the basement. Due to this, the cops decide to take him on to jail.
Then I woke up.
Thankfully, it was all a dream.
It had to have been that crazy wind that triggered it...although I have no clue what wind and basements have to do with one another. Nor do I know what the significance of a 10 year old boy watching me sleep would be...maybe Ethan came in in the night and I wasn't fully awake and saw him. Dreams can be so puzzling...
The truthful part of my dream is that I am always worried about someone being in our cellar--yes, cellar, we don't have a basement per se. There is a small window that we use to throw the wood into the cellar and it has always been a worry to me that someone would try to get in the house through that window. It would have to be a small person due to the size of the window...but a human being no matter what!
I also spent a lot of my night worrying about the tree in our front yard deciding my bed looked nice for a lay down. I guess the wind will play tricks on your mind as well...
I only recall one other dream that I've had ... I was very young when I had it, and it had to do with the glass factory in town, and an abandoned house across the street from it. It was crazy too.
So, that was my interesting thing for today. My dream. My crazy crazy dream.
Genesis 40:8"We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams."
